Threaded Inserts

Jeeps come with a lot of sheet metal screws holding stuff together. Of particular note are the screws the hold on the tops (hard and soft) to the windshield frame. Frequent swapping of tops can quickly wear out the easily-stripped holes in the sheet metal.

Threaded inserts are a solution. The inserts install like "pop rivets", and leave you with a nice machine thread that you can put a conventional machine screw into.
